Requested move 4 April 2018

The result of the move request was: moved as requested, although it appears to be taking some time for the changes to propagate. This page has only been edited an average of once a year since 2012, so I doubt that there will be any serious objections. Dekimasuよ! 01:35, 11 April 2018 (UTC)


Portal:Home → Portal:Housing – To match the current header on the page, and because the topics covered fall into the broader category of housing, not a single "home". Current title also implies it might be the home page of the Portal namespace. Netoholic @ 02:48, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

  • Strongly support move per nom. If I didn't know what this page was about, I'd definitely guess the home of the Portal namespace over the Portal about housing. If it moves and Portal:Home still redirects there, it should have a hatnote explaining it and linking to the Portal namespace's actual home. Paintspot Infez (talk) 12:10, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Support as long as the Home Living Wikiproject agrees, and they of course should be notified of this RM. The present name does seem like it could confuse some readers in terms of the internet definition of a "Home" page. Randy Kryn (talk) 15:04, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

I significantly expanded the portal on 7 August 2019‎ (UTC). Content listed at Category:House styles and Category:House types, along with that in the subcategories, can be used to expand it more. North America1000 01:06, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

There probably needs to be a category for interior design
