Sechenovsky District

Sechenovsky District (Russian: Сеченовский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Sechenovsky Municipal District.[4] It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 991 square kilometers (383 sq mi).[1] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Sechenovo.[1] Population: 15,446 (2010 Census);[2] 17,741(2002 Census);[6] 19,338(1989 Census).[7] The population of Sechenovo accounts for 34.1% of the district's total population.[2]
