What source is to be used?

I've been using ESPN's NFL Playoff Standings page to get the order of the teams for this (and the AFC Standings template, where I have cross-posted this). Is there a source that is preferred over that one? Useight (talk) 16:32, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

NFL Standings

Hello, I recently change the numbering on the standings and someone reverted it back? It is clearly out of order. Please help me explain why it is not "out of order"?TheBigMan720 (talk) 04:03, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Because the "order" is the ranks based on winning record. There happens to be a "fluke" this time of year where "better" teams are already eliminated from playoffs but "worse" teams can still win their division. The quirk is because our chart has a separate section for eliminated teams, while most (like ESPN) don't. This will "fix itself" when the Redskins are eliminated. Jdavi333 (talk)
