Template contraction etc

I've tried making changes to the way this template is used at Autogyro, but it doesn't behave quite as the other template (aviation lists) on that article - 1. There is a blank line showing between the templates, 2. This template should cause any template below it to contract, 3. This template should expand unless it's adjacent to another template. Anybody familiar enough with templates to fix these differences ? DexDor (talk) 22:23, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

White space now fixed. I don't know if NavFrames have the smart behaviour you are after (I tried autocollapse but it didn't work for me). It may be necessary to rewrite the template as a Navbox. I can put it on my to-do list, but will have to learn more about collapsing and navboxes first. Thanks. I might learn the intricacies of templates and navboxes one day, but at the moment it's too much like the day job. DexDor (talk) 12:13, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
