Welsh Labour

The template has been changed from Labour Party (UK) to Welsh Labour. Each of the Labour AMs is a member of the Labour Party. Each stood in their constituency representing the Labour Party. Each was elected as the Labour Party Assembly Member for their constituency. And most will be standing again in their constituency next month for election to the National Assembly as the Labour Party candidate. Consequently, unless and until the Labour candidates stand as Welsh Labour representitives, their political party should be noted as Labour. I have reverted the change. Election May 2016

Given that there have been some significant seat changes, this template needs updating to relate to the fifth assembly.Robin S. Taylor (talk) 16:24, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Welsh Nation Party → Propel

I have changed Welsh Nation Party to Propel. The name of the article relating to the party is now Propel (political party) and it seems that the name Welsh Nation Party (like the previously mooted name of Welsh National Party) was rejected by the Electoral Commission for being too similar to the English translation of Plaid Cymru and thus possibly confusing. However in March the Commission did approve Propel as a name and it seems that Neil McEvoy has confirmed that this is what it will be called. That said I note that its twitter account uses Propel Wales/Propel Cymru, but McEvoy's own tweets seem to just use Propel. Dunarc (talk) 22:56, 11 April 2021 (UTC)
