Template

We long discussed about this template at Talk:Political groups of the European Parliament and we finally chose how to organize it. I don't like this edit by PML and I suggest to come back to the previous version of the template. Moreover think that having collapsed templates is not OK as they're less visible for readers. I hope others will give their opinion, including PML. --Checco (talk) 07:16, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

What I think is probably quite obvious, I believe the currently existing groups should be separated from the historical ones. One is simply more likely to want to jump between the existing ones, to compare their ideologies and positions, while the historical groups are in the template for completeness' sake mostly. And the right place for discussion about a template is the template's talk page, because finding the relevant bits in another discussion page is an annoying task, so if you could link them here, Checco, I'd be grateful.--Le Petit Modificateur Laborieux (talk) 11:46, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
I did it. The template was not aimed at distinguishing between historical and current groups but to explain the evolution of European Parliament groups in the years. That is why I strongly support the previous version and, while we are waiting for other users' opinions, I think that we should return to the previous version. --Checco (talk) 19:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Again, let's just ask for a third opinion. If we wait for someone else to come across this page to give an opinion, it could be months before we get it.--Le Petit Modificateur Laborieux (talk) 01:43, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

EFDD changes

We need to update the template numbers. The recent turmoil in the UK Independent Party has seen MEPs leaving the EFDD. I think the figure now is 34, but not certain. Bondegezou (talk) 10:56, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
