I suspect there'll be a discussion at some point about exactly what qualifies a place to be included on the list of "major settlements" so I figured we might as well start that. I see @Bazonka seems to be operating on the idea that the main criterion is a population of 10k or more, which doesn't seem unreasonable, but I think it would be helpful to ensure there's a consensus on what those criteria should be. Perhaps this has already been discussed elsewhere, in which case a link to that discussion would be handy here. WaggersTALK 12:10, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

See Template talk:County#Inclusion criteria for Major settlements section. Nobody has actually engaged in the discussion, so in the absence of any objections I've boldly amended all county templates. I think it's best to discuss centrally rather than on the individual templates. Bazonka (talk) 12:18, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
