When should this template be used?

I've opened a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lepidoptera#Extant Lepidoptera families template about when this template should be used. Please contribute there. Thank you.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  15:54, 7 May 2017 (UTC)

Based on the discussion there (link updated) about a year ago I removed the template from articles which are not included in the template. I see that it's been added to many articles recently. If there's no objection, I'll start removing those.  SchreiberBike | ⌨  05:02, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

All Lepidoptera families?

I found these families which are not included in the template. Should they be added?
