When including ballparks, we have to include only the parks that held a Subway Series. The Dodgers and Giants have held different parks while in NY, but none of them were used to play against the Yankees in an official game. I think that is a good way to handle it although one could make an argument for exhibition games between the teams to be included as Subway Series. If we can find some sources claiming that the exhibition games between the Yankees and Giants or Yankees and Dodgers were Subway Series, we should include those other parks too. I don't know the purpose of this template. Is it strictly to aid navigation among pages that are likely to interest the same readers, a structured See also? Anyway consider these observations.

• 1889 world championship series, Brooklyn–New York (Brooklyn moved to the NL for next season)
• 1910 and 1914 New York championship series, Giants–Yankees (See "Regional Postseason Series" at Retrosheet. These regional series were official—sanctioned by Baseball.)
• That Retrosheet coverage excludes preseason (none sanctioned), mid-season (none sanctioned), and unsanctioned postseason games matching the same teams.) It may be reasonable to include as Subway Series any of those other series that were promoted or interpreted as multi-game competitions.

My interpretation was referring to MLB games and how "Subway Series" referred to any series where the Yankees played against an NL team, but I am not opposed to restructuring the template into 3 eras of Subway Series:

1. 19th Century (Brooklyn AA vs NY Giants)

2. Early to mid-20th century (Yankees vs Dodgers/Giants)

3. Modern (Mets-Yankees)

The official regional games should be mentioned in both the Subway Series and Yankees-Giants articles, but not in those respective templates since they do not have articles themselves. It would be like listing every Mets-Yankees game in the template...going well beyond the scope.

Let me know about your thoughts on my proposals.

I have supposed that Giants-Dodgers games were called subway series. Didn't they also go back and forth, even sometimes for two games in one day? Maybe not.

On the main point I can only say yes, you are right, my remarks really are references that editors of the articles should pursue. I can't say they should influence the template. I personally have never heard of the Subway Series referred to as a name for games between the Giants and Dodgers. This article when I came upon it also says the same thing although it is unsourced.
