Template:Types of armour → Template:Personal armouring materials – this is not about types of personal/personnel armour (ie. helmet, codpiece, bulletproof vest, flak jacket) or types of armour (ie. IFV, APC, tank, up-armored Humvee, armored car), this is about various materials used to make personal personnel armours --Relisted.   • Comment - the parent article is armour. "Personal armouring materials" strikes me as a clumsy phrase. GraemeLeggett (talk) 07:41, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
    • the parent article personal armour, but this template isn't about personal armour, it's about materials used to build personal armour, which is not the same thing. (for an analogy, steel, rubber, and glass are used to build cars, but types are cars are sports cars, saloon cars, city cars, etc, while rubber, glass and steel are not types of cars) And this doesn't cover types of armour materials that are not for personal armour, such as various grades of steel used in tanks, or ceramics used on APCs, or iron for ironclads, or bulletproof glass for armoured limos -- 70.51.202.183 (talk) 08:36, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
I think template:types of personal armour makes more sense given the linked articles. So consider that an Oppose to the proposed name. GraemeLeggett (talk) 09:31, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
How about template:types of personal armour materials ? Since again, this isn't about types of personal armour (it doesn't cover suits of armour, leather jackets, grieves, gauntlets, helmets, bulletproof vests, bombsuits, etc, -- types of personal armour) -- 70.51.202.183 (talk) 06:12, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
