Visitors to Oman must obtain a visa prior to travel unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries.

Citizens of member nations of the Gulf Cooperation Council may travel to Oman without visa limits. Nationals of 71 other countries and territories can apply for visas online which are valid for a period of 30 days. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months.^[1]

In an effort to bolster the tourism sector, citizens from 103 countries are allowed to enter the sultanate for up to 14 days without securing a prior visa.^[2][3]

Citizens of the following countries do not require a visa to visit Oman, for a stay up to the duration listed below:^[4]

Citizens of the Maldives who hold a valid Schengen visa or a visa issued by the UK, US, Canada, Australia or Japan can enter Oman without a visa.^[6]

Citizens of the following countries and territories, may obtain a single or multiple entry e-Visa valid for 30 days online.^{[11][12][13][14]}
