- Moxon lost her re-election bid at the next election in 1998 and a second attempt in 1999. She was elected for Chapel Allerton ward in 2000.
- Blake lost her seat at the next election in 2000. She later served as a Hunslet ward councillor from 2002 till her election for Middleton Park ward at the 2004 election.
- Golton did not run for re-election in Weetwood ward at the next election in 2006 and successfully ran for Rothwell ward instead.
- Jennings left the Liberal Democrat group to sit as an independent before the 2007 election.
- Following the recent election, Jennings joined the Conservatives as he felt "I can serve my ward better as part of a group rather than sitting as an independent." Now a Conservative, he lost his seat to the Liberal Democrats at the next election in 2008. Jennings would later rejoin the Liberal Democrats and stand for them again in Weetwood ward in 2018.
- Gibson lost his seat at the next election in 2019. He was elected to council again to represent Cross Gates and Whinmoor ward in 2021.
- Heselwood had previously represented Bramley and Stanningley ward from 2016 to 2023.[17]
