Welsh Labour

Welsh Labour (Welsh: Llafur Cymru) is the branch of the United Kingdom Labour Party in Wales, where it is the largest political party in modern Welsh politics. Welsh Labour and its predecessors have won the biggest share of the vote at every UK general election since 1922, every Senedd election since 1999, and every European Parliament election from 1979 until 2004 and in 2014.[6] Welsh Labour holds 22 of the 40 Welsh seats in the UK Parliament, 30 of the 60 seats in the Senedd and 576 of the 1,264 principal local authority councillors, including overall control of 10 of 22 Welsh local authorities.
