Objective

Our goal for the articles within the scope of the project is to:

  • Provide a consistent theme for the articles.
  • Improve their quality.
  • Categorise them in a coherent manner.
  • Manage the EU WikiPortal.

Generally, any EU-related article is considered to be a valid topic for this project; its primary work, however, is concentrated in the following areas of the EU:

  • Institutions, activities and policies
  • Economy, including Societates Europaeae
  • Enlargement process
  • History and Treaties

As of 25 April 2024, there are 6,676 articles within the scope of WikiProject European Union, of which 2 are featured. This makes up 0.1% of the articles on Wikipedia and 0.02% of featured articles and lists. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etcetera, there are 18,136 pages in the project.
