• This project is dedicated to creating, improving, and maintaining articles related to Australia's indigenous peoples

The scope of this project is all matters specifically relating to any or all the indigenous peoples of Australia, including:

As of 19 April 2024, there are 3,285 articles within the scope of WikiProject Indigenous peoples of Australia, of which 12 are featured and 11 good articles. This makes up 0.05% of the articles on Wikipedia and 0.11% of featured articles and lists, with 0.03% classified as good articles. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etcetera, there are 7,658 pages in the project.

This is a new project, and several things need to be done. Many of these things will remain important as the project develops. Among them are:

• Recruiting members and keeping them active and interested
• Improving any articles falling within the scope of this project
• Creating any articles which are important, but have not currently been created
• Actively watching, monitoring, and maintaining the quality and integrity of existing articles about indigenous Australians, including making any changes as necessary
