This project seems to prefer English discussion of ancient Persia in relation to the Greeks versus discussion of, y'know, Iran. Makes sense, I guess, since Iran proper probably doesn't appreciate Wikipedia very much and can borrow Great Firewall tech from China but probably should be its own separate Persian Empire Wikiproject.
In any case, if any of you can read Farsi, the history section at Rasht is a bit of a mess. The few English sources on the place's history list prior names that other English sources attribute to a different nearby city. The name is derived from textile verbs in English but an Iranian source somehow attributes it to the place's location between two rivers. &c. &c. &c. Everyone else on the English net mentioning this city seems to be copying us and our unsourced probably mistakes, so it could really benefit from some cleanup from the Encyclopedia Iranica or similar Persian sources. — LlywelynII 11:43, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Ugh... There is an EI article that covers Rasht but it apparently sucks at a historical level. It pretends the city began in the 14th century, while the article on its province notes that Muslim apostles to the area were being buried "in Rasht" in the 10th century. — LlywelynII 13:28, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Official source for presidential election results
Is there an official source or database for the results of presidential elections? For most of the elections, the results from different sources are quite different, so it would be good to have a definitive source. Cheers, Number 57 22:02, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
Hello. Looking at this page, I cannot verify that this place exists. Can anyone provide a source that discusses or shows that this place exists? Thanks in advance---Steve Quinn (talk) 19:04, 13 April 2024 (UTC)
I moved it to Draft space so someone can add one or two sources to make it ready for main space. ----Steve Quinn (talk) 01:46, 14 April 2024 (UTC)
