Hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England


Willitoft is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Bubwith, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated just south of the A163 road and west of the B1228 road. It is approximately 8 miles (13 km) east of Selby and 7 miles (11 km) north of Goole. In 1931 the parish had a population of 53.[1]

Governance

Willitoft was formerly a township in the parish of Bubwith,[2] in 1866 Willitoft became a civil parish, on 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Bubwith.[3]
