Zainal Abidin bin Zin (born 7 March 1940) is a Malaysian politician who served as Deputy Minister of Defence from 2004 to 2008 and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs from 1999 to 2004.
In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Zin is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name, Zainal Abidin. The word "bin" or "binti"/"binte" means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.
