Summary
Description 1G0U subunits sideview.png | Sideview of the 20S yeast ( S. cerevisiae ) proteasome (PDB accession code 1G0U). The alpha subunits are shown as green spheres centered on the CB atom of Leu137, which is only 3.44 Å from the position of the true centroid; their radius is 25.0 Å, which is twice the longest principal axis of the equivalent ellipsoid. (For comparison, the radius of gyration is 18.0 Å.) The beta subunits are shown as blue spheres centered on the CA atom of residue 44, which is only 3.2 Å from the position of the true centroid; their radius is 21.0 Å, which is twice the longest principal axis of the equivalent ellipsoid. (For comparison, the radius of gyration is 15.2 Å.) This figure was made by me on 12 December 2006 using MOLMOL and my own GPL software, and is released under the GFDL, especially to Opabinia regalis . ;) |
