The 1 MW 4 MWh containerized vanadium flow battery owned by Avista Utilities and manufactured by UniEnergy Technologies. The energy storage system is installed in Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, on Northeast Hopkins Court, Pullman, WA. The 4 MWh project consists of two 2 MWh strings. Each string consists of five 20 foot shipping containers, four of which hold a DC battery and one of which holds the power conversion system. Each DC battery container consists of two tanks, one with Anolyte and one with Catholyte, three cell stacks and the plumbing connecting the tanks to the stacks.
