Summary

Description
English: Homestead AFB after Hurricane Andrew serverly damaged the base on 24 August 1992. The damage to the base was extensive and the USAF reassigned the 31st Fighter wing, the base being placed in repair status for the next two years before it was placed back on operational status. Closest aircraft is 307th Fighter Squadron F-16C #89-2146 and the F-16C in the background is 88-0465 which was repaired and returned to flying status. 89-2146 was repaired afterwards but not to flying status, becoming a GF-16C ground trainer at Sheppard AFB, Texas (USA).
