English:
Douglas-built B-17G-30-DL 42-38091 was a stateside B-17G used for training. It was first delivered to Cheyenne, WY, in December 1943. Photo shows the chin turret with .50 caliber machine guns featured in later models. The B-17 weighed about 60,000 lbs., carried a bomb load of 6000 lbs., at a speed of approximately 300 miles per hour.
