Deuxième tiers du IVe siècle, Ce portrait apparaît comme une création de type occidental, avec les traits du portrait impérial tel qu'il s'est défini au cours du IIIe siècle après J.-C. Cependant le "cubisme" des formes y apparaît comme une constante issue de l'effigie des Tétrarques et qui se maintient pendant la presque totalité du IVe siècle
