Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde in seiner heutigen Grundgestaltung 1953 offiziell verliehen und geht auf die seit 1725 auf Grenzsteinen der Dorfmark und Gerichtssiegeln vorgefundenen Schwalbenschwänze und Schwalbenschwingen zurück. Dass das Wappen ursprünglich den Y-förmigen Zusammenfluss von Waldbach und Sauerbornsbach zum Schwalbach zeigte, gilt als Fehldeutung. Der Stern findet sich seit 1804 im Wappen.
