English:
A banknote of 500 mils (half a Palestine pound) issued by the Anglo-Palestine bank, a company affiliated to the World Zionist Organization, to serve as a temporary legal tender for the State of Israel before a national currency was introduced (August 1948 - June 1952). These notes were used only in Israel (and not in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip or Jordan).
