This limestone headless statue of a Sumerian man came from Khafajah, and was excavated by the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago, 3rd season, 19321933 CE, Early Dynastic Period, 2900- 2350 BCE. The Sulaymaniyah Museum, Iraqi Kurdistan.
The statue is on the list of Oriental Institute's Lost Treasures from Iraq after April 2003
. However, it has been housed at the Sulaymaniyah Museum since October 1961, as a permanent loan from the Iraqi Museum.
