Summary

Description Iran Air Force Grumman F-14A Tomcat fighters armed with multiple missiles: the right-hand aircraft is carrying four AIM-54 Phoenix , two AIM-7 Sparrow and two AIM-9 Sidewinder . The left-hand aircraft carries four Sparrow s, two Sidewinder s and a single Phoenix . The missile carried on the right ouboard plyon seems to be an MIM-23 Hawk missile. The photo was therefore probably taken in 1986, when the IRIAF carried out the "Project Sky Hawk" test program to check if it's possible to arm Tomcat s with the Hawk missile.
