Philippine Marine Staff Sgt. Salvador Maceda, a corpsman with the probationary battalion, and Staff Sgt. Roderick J. Corioso, a platoon leader with Marine Battalion Landing Team 7, take their positions at the firing line during live fire training as a part of KAMANDAG at Colonel Ernesto P. Ravina Air Base, Philippines on Oct. 5, 2017. Bilateral exercises such as KAMANDAG increase the ability of the United States and the Philippines to rapidly respond and work together during real world terrorist or humanitarian crises, in order to accomplish the mission, support the local population and help mitigate human suffering.
