This photograph of a Kannada inscription dated 1524 A.D. was taken by me at the Ananthasayana temple in Ananthasayanagudi, Bellary district, Karnataka state, India. The temple was constructed by King Krishnadeva Raya (1524 AD) of the Vijayanagara Empire, in memory of his deceased son.
