Description
English: Kelvin wake simulation for Gaussian distortion (shown besides the wake) at Froude number 2. Specifically, given that the Fourier transform of the distortion field is ~exp(-(k/k_0)^2/2), the distortion travels at twice the speed of waves with wave vector k s.t. |k|=k_0 (in original size, the corresponding wavelength is 80 pixels).
