Summary
Description Köppen Csc US West Coast.png |
English:
This map shows the scattered and limited distribution of the relatively rare cold-summer Mediterranean climate (Köppen type Csc) along the west coast of the United States.
Occurrences are limited to higher elevation locations in the Olympic Mountains, Cascade Mountains, Klamath Mountains, and Sierra Nevada. The extent of this climate type using both 0°C and -3°C isotherms (both isotherms are in academic usage for the border between a "temperate" and "continental" climate) is shown. |
