Larkana
(PB 157) off the coast of Pakistan during a personnel transfer. Lake Champlain and ships from seven other countries are participating in the multinational naval exercise AMAN, an Urdu word meaning peace. The 10-day exercise focuses on air, surface and maritime security training and includes representatives from 38 countries as well as ships from 11 nations to include the United States, United Kingdom, Pakistan and Australia. Lake Champlain is deployed as part of the Boxer Amphibious Readiness Group supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
