A Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC) from USS Tarawa (LHA 1) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) off-loads a M1-A1 Abrams Tank on a cement parking pad for future operations. USS Tarawa Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) uses LCAC and other conventional landing craft and helicopters to move Marine assault forces ashore. Tarawa is currently forward deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
