Summary
Description Naksidil Valide Sultan Mausoleum 9293.jpg |
English:
Nakşidil Valide Sultan's mausoleum is in the style of baroque-Empire, it's near the Fatih Mosque. The türbe has 14 sides, with unique oval windows in the upper row of two rows of windows. With its slender (too slender) columns Strolling through Istanbul considers it to be a very original and entertaining building. In 2018 it was possible to visit after a restoration, through a gate at the Fatih Türbesi Sokak. To the right side of the mausoleum's courtyard another türbe was being restored, that of Gülüstü Valide Sultan, mother of Mehmet VI Vahdettin, the last Ottoman Sultan.
