Summary
Description Olduwan Industry Chopper 2.jpeg |
English:
A rough sketch of stone tools found in Olduvai Gorge. Referred to as the Oldowan Tool Industry, they represent the earliest man- made tools that have yet been found (the oldest dating to around 2.5 million years ago); they are distinct for their simplicity. This drawing shows two choppers, which likely would have been used, along with flakes, to remove the meat from animal bones.
