On December 18, 1970, the Baneberry underground nuclear test at the Nevada Test Site released radioactivity to the atmosphere. Baneberry had a yield of ten kilotons. It was buried about 900 feet beneath the surface of Yucca Flat, near the northern boundary of the NTS

Le 18 décembre 1970, le test nucléaire souterrain Baneberry, au site de test du Nevada à laisser s'échapper de la radioactivité dans l'atmosphère. Baneberry avait une puissance de dix kilotonnes . Il était enterré à environ 275 mètres sous la surface de la plaine du Yucca, proche de la bordure Nord du NTS.
