Principal component (PC) analysis of genetic merged dataset, containing European populations. The Ukrainian individuals are circled and colors reflect prior population assignments from the European samples from the 1000 Genomes project (Utah residents [CEU] with Northern and Western European ancestry, Toscani in Italy [TSI], Finnish in Finland [FIN], British in England and Scotland [GBR], Iberian population in Spain [IBS]) and French (FRA) and Russians (RUS) from HGDP (RUS), as well as the relevant high-coverage human genomes Croatian (CRO), Czech (CZ), Estonian (EST), German (GER), Greek (GRE), Hungarian (HUN), Moldovan (MOL), Polish (POL), Russian Cossack (RUS), and Ukrainian (UKR) from the Estonian Biocentre Human Genome Diversity Panel (EGDP) as well as Simons Genome Diversity Project. See Figure 2.
