Bronze roaring lying lion, found near door F of Sargon's palace, Khorsabad, circa 706 BCE. This statue was found fastened in the pavement, so it wasn't used as a weight, despite the ring. Its function remains unknown. Now in the Louvre Museum, inventory number : AO 20116 ).
