Summary
Description Rough diamonds - necklace in UV and normal light B - composite.jpg |
English:
Necklace made of drilled rough low-quality light brown (Coffee diamonds) diamonds. The stones range from 2 mm to 3,5 mm and weighs a total of 15 carats. Made by a Danish jewelry workshop. The necklace is twisted into three loops. Photographed in both natural and UV light on a black glass plate, and combined into a photo montage. Studio photograph made in Tuntorp, Brastad, Lysekil Municipality, Sweden.
"Speed effect" added to make the image more interesting than just the normal side-by-side comparison, but also to help guide the eyes between the individual stones to see the different colors. See more info below. |

Photographer's comment on how the image was made

"The image is made from two photos edited and merged in Photoshop. (No ICM involved.) The two original photos were put into layers. Selected parts of the necklace in UV photo were then copied into new layers and treated with the motion blur option: Filter>Blur>Motion Blur. The layers were then edited, mainly using the eraser tool at different settings, before being merged into a single layer." |
