English:
A multitude of stone pebbles, clay tablets, and plaques, belonging to the Sumerian prince Eannatum, was excavated in the ancient Sumerian cities of Lagash and Girsu, southern Iraq. The carved cuneiform inscriptions on them mention the name of Eannatum, prince and ruler of Lagash. The narration usually states that he was given power by the god Enlil, breastfed by the goddess Ninhursag, named by the god Ningirsu, and chosen by the goddess Nanshe. Early Dynastic period, c. 2470 BCE. On display at the Sumerian Gallery of the Iraq Museum in Baghdad, Iraq.
