"Painting of the dikpala Yama.
He is depicted blue-skinned, four-armed and seated on his vahana, the buffalo. In his upper two hands he holds a mace (right) and lasso (left). His lower hands are held in varadamudra (right) and abhayamudra (right). In front, walks an attendant carrying a mace while behind comes another attendant with a parasol held above the god. An element of perspective is suggested by the lightly sketched-in foreground. On laid European paper watermarked with an armorial design."
