Description 서울새남굿.jpg |
English:
Seoul Saenam Gut is a traditional exorcism of the deceased in the Seoul area performed by the upper class or wealthy class to console the spirits of the dead and lead them to a better world. It seems that Saenamgut was formed in the Joseon Dynasty and was performed in its present form around the 17th and 18th centuries.
