Garu (Persian: گرو)[lower-alpha 1] is a village in Kabud Gonbad Rural District of the Central District of Kalat County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran.

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,083 in 440 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,947 people in 484 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,724 people in 509 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
