The M113 43 is a 4.3L (4,266cc) version. Bore and stroke is 89.9mm ×84mm (3.54in ×3.31in). Power output is 279PS (205kW; 275hp) at 5,750 rpm with 400N⋅m (295lb⋅ft) of torque at3,000rpm. Output for the variant used in the C43 AMG is uprated to 306PS (225kW; 302hp) at 5,850 rpm and 410N⋅m (302lb⋅ft) at3,250rpm.
The M113 50 is a 5.0L (4,966cc) version with a bore and stroke of 97mm ×84mm (3.82in ×3.31in). Power output is 302bhp (306PS; 225kW) at 5,600 rpm with 460N⋅m (339lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,700 to 4,250 rpm. The G 500 and ML 500 both use a detuned version of the 5-liter M113 engine and their output is 292bhp (296PS; 218kW) and 288bhp (292PS; 215kW) respectively. Active Cylinder Controlvariable displacement technology is optional.
The M113 55 is a 5.4L (5,439cc) version with the same 97mm (3.82in) bore as the M113 50/500 but with a longer 92mm (3.62in) stroke developed by Mercedes-AMG. These cars were the first to carry the 55 AMG title. Power output is 347 to 367PS (255 to 270kW; 342 to 362hp) at 5,500–5,750 rpm with 510 to 530N⋅m (376 to 391lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,800–5,400 rpm. Many popular tuners such as Kleemann USA and AMG itself developed supercharger systems for this model, mirroring the later M113 E55 ML design.[1] The engine has a power output of 400hp (406PS; 298kW) at 5,750 rpm and 519N⋅m (383lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,750 rpm in the SLK55 AMG Black Series.[2][3]
The M113 Kompressor is a supercharged and twin-intercooled version of the 5.4L (5,439cc) M113. It is commonly referred to as "M113K" – where 'K' stands for Kompressor (supercharger). Power output varies depending on year and model, from 469bhp (476PS; 350kW) at 6,100 rpm for the E 55 AMG to 574bhp (582PS; 428kW) in the 2004–2006 CLK DTM AMG, with 700 to 800N⋅m (516 to 590lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,750–4,000 rpm.
Many Mercedes-AMG enthusiasts consider the M113K as the last of the great Kompressor engines used by Mercedes-AMG excluding the Mercedes SLR McLaren. Mercedes-AMG replaced this model with their new 6.2 Lnaturally aspirated V8, making the transition from 55 AMG to the 63 AMG. Although the new 6.2 L M156 AMG motor produced greater peak horsepower, many enthusiasts were disappointed by the lack of torque present in the new naturally aspirated design. The M113K engine has also received praise for its reliability.[1]
The M155 is a version of the supercharged 5.4L (5,439cc) M113 specifically for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Power output is 617bhp (626PS; 460kW) at6,500rpm with 780N⋅m (575lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,250 rpm.[5] An uprated version with 641bhp (650PS; 478kW) at6,500rpm and 820N⋅m (605lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,000 rpm and 7250 rpm Rev Limit, featured in the 722 edition.[6]
