Latin music (Portuguese and Spanish: música latina) is a term used by the music industry as a catch-all category for various styles of music from Ibero-America, which encompasses Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and the Latino population in Canada and the United States, as well as music that is sung in either Spanish and/or Portuguese. Lyrically, "El Amor" was written by Arjona in an attempt to show all sides of love, explaining that "So many good things about love has been shown, that somebody had to turn it around and tell the bad ones". The song became Arjona's fourth single to reach number one on the US Billboard Top Latin Songs, and the seventh to do so on the Latin Pop Songs chart. It also became his first song ever to reach number one on the Tropical Songs chart, improving his previous peak of number two almost twelve years prior. "El Amor" also topped several national charts from Latin America.
The Latin Grammy Award for Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group with Vocals was an honor presented annually at the Latin Grammy Awards between 2001 and 2011.The award was given to duos or groups for albums containing at least 51% of new recordings of the pop genre. In 2000 an award known as Best Pop Performance by a Duo/Group with Vocal was presented. From 2001 to 2011 the award for Best Pop Album by a Duo or Group with Vocals was presented.
Award-winning albums have been recorded by Mexican artists more than any other nationality, though they have also been released by musicians or groups originating from Spain and the United States. Bacilos and Sin Bandera are the most awarded bands in the category with two wins (out of three nominations) each; currently both ensembles are disbanded. Spanish trio Presuntos Implicados hold the record for most nominations without a win, with three, and Mexican band RBD and Spanish bands Amaral, Estopa and Jarabe de Palo had two unsuccessful nominations. The last winner of this category was given to supergroup Alex, Jorge y Lena for their eponymous 2010 album.
Live! led Selena to win a Grammy Award for Best Mexican/American Album at the 36th Grammy Awards, the first Tejano musician to do so. It had won two awards from the 1994 Billboard Latin Music Awards, and three awards at the 1994 Tejano Music Awards. Live! peaked at number one on the US Regional Mexican Albums, number two on the Top Latin Albums and number 79 on the Billboard 200.
