Priya Satia

American historian


Priya Satia is an American historian of the British Empire, with a particular focus in the Middle East and South Asia.[1] Satia is the Raymond A. Spruance Professor of International History at Stanford University.[2] She was educated at Stanford and the London School of Economics, and received her PhD from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004.[1][3] Satia grew up in Los Gatos, California.[3]
