County in Kerman province, Iran


Rudbar-e Jonubi County (Persian: شهرستان رودبار جنوب) is in Kerman province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Rudbar.[3]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 86,747 in 17,364 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 104,421 people in 24,506 households.[5] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 105,992 in 27,428 households.[2]

In 2023, Jazmurian District was separated from the county, elevated to the status of Jazmurian County, and divided into two districts with two rural districts each and the city of Zeh-e Kalut as the new county's capital. At the same time, Bizhanabad Rural District was established in the Central District and Nehzatabad Rural District became a part of the newly established Halil Dasht District, which also contains the new Abbasabad Rural District.[6]
