Abdul Aziz (born 11 January 1986)[1] is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a midfielder.

Club career

Aziz first played at a local Karachi club called Tanzeem Sports Gizri.[2] He then represented departmental side National Bank from 2003 until 2019.[1] Aziz also had a brief stint at Aiolikos in Greece in 2016.[1]

International career

Aziz earned his first senior international cap on 12 June 2005 which was the first game in a series of three games against India, the game finished 1–1 draw.[1]

He was the vice-captain of the U-23 national team during the 2004, 2006 and 2010 South Asian Games, where he helped Pakistan achieve the gold medal in the first two editions.[3] On 2004, he scored in the final against India, where his goal in the 29th minute gave Pakistan a 1–0 victory.[4][5]

He was also vice-captain of the senior team.[6][7]
