Synopsis

In Mumbai, Nurse Prabha's routine is troubled when she receives an unexpected gift from her estranged husband. Her younger roommate, Anu, tries in vain to find a spot in the city to be intimate with her boyfriend. A trip to a beach town allows them to find a space for their desires to manifest." [2]

Production

The film was produced by Thomas Hakim and Julian Graff through their French-based company Petit Chaos, and by Ranabir Das at India's Another Birth, in co-production with the Indian companies Chalk & Cheese, and Dojo Films, as well as by France's Arte France Cinéma, Luxembourg's Les Films Fauves, the Netherlands's BALDR Film and Italy's Pulpa Films.[3]

Release

All We Imagine as Light was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, where it will have its world premiere in May 2024.[4] It will be the first Indian film in 30 years to screen in the main competition at Cannes since Malayalam film Swaham by director Shaji N. Karun in 1994.[5]
