The ward was created in 2004 (20 years ago) (2004) from parts of the former Mersey St. Mary's and St. Martin's wards.
As of 2022, the councillors are Tony O'Brien (Labour),[2] Ben Hartley (Labour),[3] and Shona Gilbert (Labour).[4]
